Every inspection checks these points before a coating system is chosen.
- Screw tightness and washer condition on sample fastener rows
- Side laps and end laps for rust, gaps, and old caulk
- Rust depth at low panel ends, laps, and gutters
- Skylight panels for cracks, yellowing, and loose edges
- Curbs, ridge caps, vents, and wall flashing
- Gutter and downspout flow, including where the water discharges
- Panel flex between purlins, checked by walking each run
- Adhesion test patches for the primer and the coating
What We Will Not Do
Some sales pitches help no one on a roof. These are the ones we leave out.
Has rust-through across whole sections
Coating over failing steel only hides it, so we will not sell a coating for that roof.
Holds wet insulation under the panels
Sealing a wet roof traps the moisture, so wet areas are dried out or replaced before any coat goes on.
Has shingles that are curled or bare
Failed shingles are past coating, and we tell you that plainly instead of quoting a coat.
Leaks at a single cracked skylight
A one-panel problem gets a one-panel fix, without a whole-roof coating sold alongside it.
